Exhibition "All that is mine, I carry with me", Labin, Croatia, 2024
Project type

From July 8 to 27, 2024 ,I had the opportunity to present my latest works in the Labin City Library. The exhibition featured a collection of portraits created using pencil and acrylic techniques. These works were produced in Norway, where I have lived and worked since 2018. Having traveled 2,243 kilometers from Stavanger, the exhibition’s title reflected both my personal and artistic journey.
Originally presented in Stavanger in 2023, "All that is mine I carry with me" is a series in which I explored the physical and cultural transformations within my family. The collection included pencil portraits, acrylic paintings on canvas, ink drawings, and digital works. Through these pieces, I depicted different stages of my daughter’s life, my relationship with my partner, and the connections with other family members, reflecting the ever-changing dynamics of family life.
My family’s future is shaped by travel, cultural exchange, and a growing sense of belonging in Norway. With this exhibition, I wanted to share the positive experiences we have encountered—building a professional career, learning a new language, embracing cultural identity, and appreciating the surrounding nature. I have been particularly inspired by the deep respect for cultural heritage that Norwegians uphold, which has profoundly enriched my artistic practice.
The idea for this exhibition came from my desire to present my latest works in my hometown of Labin. The Labin City Library, a beloved space for knowledge exchange and community gathering, was the perfect venue for this presentation. I am especially grateful to library director Mrs. Fiamengo, who warmly supported the collaboration.
