When one has lived in a place for many years, they gradually become accustomed to their surroundings and may overlook or underestimate what once seemed interesting or remarkable. However, when we move into a new environment, we open ourselves to new experiences and see the world with a fresher and more curious mindset.
When I moved into my new studio in Stavanger in 2023, I was filled with a sense of wonder as I observed my surroundings. This sense of awe continues to inspire me, fueling my imagination and creativity, which are in full bloom.
I have leveraged this opportunity in the creative process to capture the unique aspects of my new surroundings. I explored the hidden beauties of everyday life. With a passion for exploration, I wandered the streets and paths around H18 - my new community, capturing moments so they don't just remain unnoticed.
Through a free and experimental approach to editing photographs, I have refined my visual language and am pleased to share it with you.
